Your Past Self
Why you're not who you want to be...
Script
Heyo guys, hope you had an amazing week!
Here’s the best nature photo I took in these 7 days:
Nature’s highlights:

Vaslui, Romania, 26/8/2023
Lately, I’ve come more and more across something that’s troubling me.
I realized it’s been affecting me my whole life.
Everything,
From physical to mental conditions,
Have been damaged by it.
What the actual fuck could this be, I hear no one asking.
Well, my friends, like I said in the title of this letter,
It all revolves around your past self and, more importantly,
The beliefs your past self held about you.
All our actions are directed by who we believe we are.
Think about it.
Why did we help that elderly woman?
Because we saw ourselves as 'good people.'
How did we ace that challenging test?
Because we believed we were 'smart.'
And why didn’t we talk to that cute girl?
Because we labeled ourselves as 'shy.’
Our beliefs are like the architects of our reality.
Every one of your actions springs from a belief you have about yourself.
It's no wonder you often hear wise people emphasizing the power of self-talk.
If your mind hears:
-”I’m stupid”
-”I’m weak”
-”I’m shy”
-”I’m boring”
etc.
It will create a reality according to that information.
You don’t realize this,
But your mind is the most powerful tool in this universe.
Nothing can restrict, empower, or create your mind
Better than itself.
It absorbs and preserves every word you've ever spoken about yourself.
So make goddamn sure they’re good ones.
But, just like your thoughts create your reality,
Your past reality created your thoughts.
There’s always this cycle of:
Past creates Present —> Present determines Future —> Future becomes Future Present
And it goes on endlessly.
The exciting part?
Amidst this never-ending cycle,
There is you.
You,
Your thoughts,
And your actions
Have the power to change this cycle at your will.
And it all starts here:
Past creates Present.
Your past may have created who you are now,
But by meditating on who it has made you become;
You can change the present.
I realized that past beliefs are still affecting my life.
There are many I don’t know,
But here are those I’ve found:
-”I’m not a good athlete”
-”I can’t convince others”
-”I’m boring”
-”I’m small and unimportant”
This is not who I am anymore.
But all of these have dictated my life up until this point.
Although, now, by realizing them,
I am in control.
It’s all coming back to the thing I always preach the most:
Introspection.
So, here's your call to action:
Take a seat and reflect.
What beliefs have colored your perception of yourself?
Analyze your past struggles and how they've shaped your mindset.
Then, decide to conquer them.
Compile a list of these self-limiting beliefs.
Put it somewhere visible—on a wall or your phone—so you're always reminded of it.
Throughout the day, be mindful of your thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Remember, change begins with yourself.
You're not defined by your past.
You're the author of your present and the architect of your future.
So, write your own story, and design your own life.
