The Meaning of Life
If life is meaningless, why not make the best of it?
Nature’s Highlights:
First of all, I’m sorry for not posting anything last week.
I’ve got no excuses, I’ve just been lazy as fuck.
Nonetheless, I got some banger pictures:

A few days ago, while I was doing what every normal 17 year old would do, aka walk on the street smiling and meditating about life,
I suddenly get stopped.
I turn around and I see that it was my friend and classmate, Rares (try pronouncing it like Raresh).
After he caught his breath (I walk very fucking fast 😂) he started walking with me home.
As we were walking, he started getting into some deeper subjects with me, saying that he rarely has someone to discuss this kind of things with.
After some time, he opened up the subject of life, expressing his thoughts in a way that struck me:
“For me, if there would be no Afterlife, no God, no Judgement, then nothing I do here even matters, because everything fades away.”
His words resonated with me, as I realized many people think like him. So I wanted to provide a thoughtful response.
But truthfully, I never pondered about that. I never saw things from that perspective.
For me, the meaning has always been to live the best life that I can, and to provide that to others as well.
I didn’t care that “everything fades”.
I finally mustered up an answer to him, but my sleepy ass couldn’t think of anything other than:
“So why not try to make it as good as you can?”
I was terribly disappointed with my response, so I began searching for a more profound answer.
Some days later, I had a coaching call with one of the kindest, most creative people I’ve ever met in my life.
(if you don’t check him out, imma put a gun to yo head: https://twitter.com/ItsAceGordon )
And during the amazing conversation we had, I asked him what he thought about all of this, and he instantly responded to me:
“If life doesn’t have any meaning, that’s perfect. It means you can give it any meaning that you want, you can make anything out of it.”
And that hit mi corazon like most never do.
Giving it a little more thought over the past couple of days, I came more and more to the conclusion that he’s undeniably right.
“If nothing matters, and everything you do fades, just as the human race will, then why even bother doing anything?”
This is the question that I see circulating a lot on the internet,
But I think a better one is:
“If nothing matters, and everything you do fades, just as the human race will, then why not embrace the finite time you have and strive for greatness?”
Most don’t understand this, but the fact that life is fleeting, that it will all fade away is exactly what gives us power.
If time was resting in your hands, for you there would always be “tomorrow”,
And that’s exactly when you’d start taking action.
The fact that we have finite time in this world,
That’s what makes everything worth living now.
If you could never die, you’d have all the time in the world to visit all the places you wanna see, to meet all the people you want.
So why would you work, why would you strive for anything better, if everything will eventually come in the infinity of your life?
Death is a dear friend to all of us, even if we treat it as our worst enemy.
And it’s the exact same with meaningless.
Life starts as meaningless for all of us.
We all start as simple clusters of cells, trying to make our way into this chaotic and beautiful life.
But with time, we desire to become more, to achieve greater sights,
Just like Maslow said in his hierarchy of needs - the last one being self-actualization.
But if you don’t have anything to work for, why would you bother working for anything, right?
Well, here’s the beauty of it all:
What gives us ALL meaning is the search for OUR SELF-actualization.
(I put it in caps just so you understand its importance)
The whole idea of life is that your purpose is solely unique to you.
“Meaning” is simply about finding out what you love, and going head-first into it.
You may get disappointed a couple of times, and find out that it actually wasn’t for you.
But that’s part of the beauty of life.
And goddamn is this life beautiful.
So every time you feel like life doesn’t have any meaning, remember this:
You can give it any fucking meaning you want it to have.
And I want to leave you guys with just another thing from me:
You don’t need to live a happy life, in order to be a happy person.
Life, happiness and meaning are always within your grasp.
It’s up to you to take control of them.
That’s it for this week guys, thanks so much for reading this far (and I’m sorry again for not delivering anything last week - it won’t happen again).
I wish you all an amazing week, love ya <3.
