Discovering Your Unique Path to Success

Nature’s highlights:

This week, nature gifted me a really beautiful lesson,

That is: Fly to the stars, my friends. The sky’s the limit.

In order to understand the obstacles we face when going after success, we first need to grasp what it is.

So, what is success?

If we are to take the dictionary definition, then success is “an accomplishment of an aim or purpose”.

This is perfect,

Because success was and will always be the achievement of an individual’s set of goals.

And here’s where the problem comes in.

In our society, we’ve deindividualized success.

And not in the happy-go-lucky sense of the word, where one person’s success results in everyone’s success.

Nah, that’s just called an utopia. (one in which I don’t believe we’ll ever live)

But success has been taken from the individual’s eyes, from the individual’s aim, and from the individual’s purpose.

We’ve now stopped chasing OUR success - our aim, our purpose.

Instead we’ve started chasing what success means for everyone else.

No matter where you are, or where you come from,

Other people’s idea of ‘success’ has been, in one way or another, instilled in you.

Whether you’re a normal kid, whose parents told him to go to college and become a doctor,

Or whether you’re an ‘entrepreneur’ trying to build your own wealth,

You’re still shadowing the footsteps of others' success..

If you’re here, reading this, then you probably have your eyes set on the latter,

So let’s dive into that.

What is ‘success’ for an entrepreneur?

This is a case in which most will give the same answer, and that is:

  • Build a profitable business

  • Attain freedom, both in terms of time and finances

  • And (possibly) be jacked

This is what I see being thrown around as the ‘entrepreneurship dream’.

And while I do believe it is 10X better than following your parents’ dream,

It is still not yours.

The main thing that’s missing from this ‘businessman’s success’ formula is fulfillment.

I hear 1000s of people talking about “How to make money online (click here to see my coochie)” and other shit like that.

But NO ONE has ever opened the subject on:

“Ok, but here’s how to make a FULFILLING business online”

Every one of us that started out on this entrepreneur’s path has, at one point, adopted this narrow idea of ‘success’.

But if having money, being jacked and being “successful” isn’t success,

Then what is?

Well, the answer is:

I don’t know.

Better said, I don’t know what success is…for you.

Like I said in the beginning of the article, we all have our own definition.

Success only means “the accomplishment of one’s aim and purpose”.

Aim and purpose.

YOUR aim and purpose.

I feel like more than 60% of the people in our society have yet to discover what their purpose is.

We teach them how to be “successful” when all they truly need is a destination and the path to walk towards it.

You’re on this journey guided by others’ aspirations.

And I want to ask you,

Where do you think these aspirations will lead?

You guessed it, it’s to a different person’s success.

You're sprinting toward a destination you may not even desire to arrive at.

Why?

Because you don’t know what YOU want,

So you grapple on to the ‘norm’ and see if it fits.

I tried this as well when I started out on my journey.

I was seeing all of these YouTubers talking about Social Media Marketing Agencies (SMMA)

And since I had nothing of my own, I thought

”Yeah, I’ll do that”

So I started working on Google Ads, for about 2 months I studied relentlessly.

I was truly giving it my all.

But we all know what happens when we’re building towards something we do not want to create.

I failed twice at getting a certificate, and on the third try I barely got it with 67%.

I had lost all of my enthusiasm, I didn’t know what to do,

And then, I saw a video that shined a light on my true path - content creation.

And from that day forward,

I realized I wanted to devote my whole being to change others’ lives through my words and ideas.

You see, there’s nothing wrong with giving everything you’re told a try.

After all, you never know what you love until you do it.

But be careful not to waste your time searching for gold in a mine filled with iron.

If you are to take something from this article, I want it to be this:

Find your own aim.

Find your own purpose.

Find your own definition of success.

Thank you so much for giving me your time,

I love you guys <3
