Who controls your life?
Nature’s Highlights:

Vaslui, Romania, 02/01/2024
We’re in 2024 my boys and girls, and I want to wish you all an amazing new Year,
If you don’t make the best out of this year, Imma personally come and kick your ass, just so you know.
Nonetheless, one thing that I want you to remember from this N. Highlights is this:
Sometimes the light can be harder to see, but that doesn’t mean it’s absent.
You just have to know where to be to see it.
Who is the master of your life?
Who has control over your world?
Who is the one writing your destiny?

If you’re not some crazy psychopath (which I hope you’re not), then you probably responded with “me” to all three questions.
If so, then let me ask you another one:
Why is it that, when you feel horrible, when you’re stuck in life, when you’re at the bottom of your barrel, it is never your fault?
We believe we control our own lives, and yet we shift the responsibility (the blame) over to everyone else when things go south.
Well, guess what?
There isn’t such a world where you can have both.
If you, and not external things, are truly the master of your world,
Then why do you constantly relinquish the power over your own state of mind?
If I were to ask you right now: “Who decides your happiness?”, what would be your answer?
Cuz it surely shouldn’t be the outside world, let me tell you that.
Your sadness isn’t real.
It only exists in your mind.
It’s not caused by the outside world, but by your thoughts.
You’re the one in charge.
So stop blaming “the world” for your suffering, and start changing your mind.

We scour for control in every part of our lives, afraid that something’s not gonna go our way,
When, in reality, this is exactly what takes it all away from us.
“Control” isn’t having power over every aspect of your life, because that’s simply impossible.
Control means knowing what you can truly change, and relinquishing the need to do it elsewhere.
You’re never going to be in control of your life.
That’s just a fact.
But you can always decide its trajectory, you can always decide who you are in this life.
The highest power we will ever have is the one over our own minds, nothing else.
You can’t control whether or not you lose your job tomorrow, your loved one leaves you, or someone dies.
But you can control how you respond.
You can control whether or not you let this bring you down, or make you stronger.
At any given moment in time, we have 2 choices:
Succumb to the problems the world is throwing at us, giving up even the little control we have over ourselves.
Or take a moment to realize that it isn’t the outside world that makes us angry, sad, or depressed, it’s what lies beneath our minds that does.
If you take an orange, no matter how much you squeeze that orange, never will it come out lemonade from the other side.

Likewise, the world and its pressure don’t “force” us to be anything, they only reveal what truly lies inside of us.
Thank you again for reading this short-ass post, that was just like that orange - small but packed with flavor.
I hope you managed to learn something from this,
And until next time, I wish y’all an amazing week, aaaaaaanddd keep growinggg <333
